  • Biodiversity Assessments - to engage landholders with the habitat values of their properties. Surveys can be carried out for pre-and-post revegetation/ecosystem enhancement management projects. We offer a variety of options including:
    • Walk through/observational surveys and reporting of habitat values
    • Provision of species’ lists of observed fauna and flora. Likelihood of occurrence list for significant species
    • Survey for EVNT listed species to EPBC minimum survey guidelines or greater
    • Habitat features & fauna surveys for detection of species present on your property with the following methods available:
      • Motion-sensor cameras
      • Acoustic recorders (bird/frog/bat detection)
      • Small, medium mammal traps, harp traps (bat) and reptile survey equipment
      • Experienced field biologists directly observing and recording
      • Multiple night deployment of full suite of fauna survey equipment targeting reptiles, small mammals, bats, acoustic bird recordings. Spotlighting for arboreal species; and
      • Reported findings will include recommendations on wildlife/ecosystem management – options vary depending on your interests and desired outcomes for your property
  • Fauna Surveys and Monitoring
    • Fauna assessments including property habitat and ecosystem values assessment
    • Deployment of survey/monitoring equipment targeting terrestrial species: mammals, reptiles, birds, amphibians; using full suite of fauna equipment: funnel and pitfall trapping, Elliot trapping, motion-sensor cameras, acoustic recorders, harp traps (bats), spotlighting for arboreal species
    • Threatened Species monitoring: assessments for detection of EVNT listed species and breeding habitat values
  • Educational Workshops - We can develop and deliver a range of education workshops. We prefer these to be subject (e.g. reptile identification) specific and can tailor delivery and content to family, secondary school, tertiary or adult audiences. Register your interest here.     • Snakes – how to identify them, why we need them & how to live alongside them in your backyard
    • Monitoring wildlife on your property with motion-sensor cameras & acoustic recorders; and
    • Spotlighting for wildlife: techniques to spot the nocturnal wildlife on your property or favourite nature hangout

    • Acoustic recorders: BAR units (birds/frogs/insects), Bat recorders
    • Elliot, Sherman and wire cage traps for small and medium mammals
    • Pitfall & Funnel Traps – reptiles & amphibians
    • Harp traps (bats)
